Titanfall 2
The most underplayed shooter ever made. A 6-hour campaign with more creative ideas per level than most games have in their entirety — and multiplayer movement that still hasn't been matched.
Titanfall 2’s campaign is six hours of developers showing off what they can do. Each level introduces a mechanic, uses it brilliantly, and then sets it aside for something new. One level puts you inside a time-travel device, switching between a past and present version of the same space to solve puzzles and outflank enemies. It’s one of the best single levels in FPS history.
The movement system — wall-running, bunny-hopping, sliding, grappling — is the most expressive in any shooter. The Titans, large mech suits you call in during battle, add a second combat layer that integrates naturally rather than feeling like a different game.
Titanfall 2 was released the same week as Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and was commercially crushed. The campaign is a masterpiece that most people never played.
Why PixelPick recommends it: Available cheap everywhere. One of the best campaigns in FPS history. No excuse not to play it.

DOOM Eternal
The most intense shooter ever made. DOOM Eternal turns demon-slaying into a rhythm game — you're always moving, always chain-killing, always running out of ammo in the best possible way.
